It has been reported that the model will be sold in China first, where it will known as Tiguan L Pro. It will make Indian debut somewhere around next year.
The German carmaker Volkswagen gave a slight stretch to its lineup, and has introduced the all-new Tayron in the global market. The newly revealed SUV, which has been treated with cutting-edge technology, has placed Tiguan Allspace, and will be will sitting on its position from now onwards.
It has been reported that the model will be sold in China first, where it will known as Tiguan L Pro. Later, the company will start circulating in different parts of the world. In India, it is likely to come somewhere around next year. However, the brand is yet to confirm the actual period.
What’s Special In Volkswagen Tayron?
The all-new Tayron shares a lot of similarities with the latest-gen Tiguan including design elements. It comes with a massive bonnet, featuring a fully LED headlight setup, paired with Day Running Lights (DRLs) and chrome finished Volkswagen logo on the front grille. The chrome treat also has been given to to the front lower profile, where two strips at both ends make it look more elegant and classy. It also gets body colour door handles, roof rails, and automatic ORVMs with integrated turn indicators in it.
Exterior Details
To make it bolder and better from outside, it has been given chunky yet stylish alloy wheels with a slight dose of chrome. Talking about the overall size, the Tayron measures 1,859mm wide, 4,735mm long, and 1,682mm in height, making it bigger than the latest 5-seater Tiguan. It also features a decent 111mm longer wheelbase, better than Tiguan.
Engine and Platform
The new Tayron has been developed on the company’s new MQB EVO platform, which makes it even better in terms of built quality. It is the same platform that is used for the latest-gen Tiguan and the new Skoda Kodiaq. As far as the powertrain is concerned, it is offered in both 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.0-litre diesel unit. All the power sources will have a 48V mild-hybrid setup, making it a perfect choice for long and short trips.
