Tamil film Anjaamai, starring Vidharth, Rahman and Vani Bhojan in lead roles, is set to make its OTT debut. The post-theatrical rights have been acquired by Aha Tamil, and the film is scheduled to release on October 29, 2024. The film, based on true events, explores a rural family’s struggles with the examination system NEET. Written and directed by SP Subburaman, the film was produced by M Thirunavukarasu under the banner Thiruchithram Productions.

Arundhavam, a brilliant student, dreams of becoming a doctor but faces significant hurdles due to the NEET exam. The film, set in 2017, highlights the emotional and societal challenges brought about by the exam system.

Anjaamai received mixed reviews when it released in theaters earlier this year. Although the performances and storyline were praised, critics pointed out the pacing as a drawback.
