As former President Donald Trump approaches a second term in the White House, billionaire Elon Musk has taken to social media to celebrate.
“Game, set up and match,” Musk wrote at 10:32 PM ET on November 5 on X, formerly Twitter, which he owns. He later shared a post from user @BasedBeffJezos describing Trump as “the CEO, CMO, and CTO of the USA.”
Shortly after midnight, Musk posted a photo of himself speaking with Trump at campaign headquarters, adding: “The future is going to be like this.” [fire emoji]”.
Musk showed his support for Trump during the campaign, contributing $75 million to a pro-Trump political action committee he co-founded. He also hosted town halls for Super PACs, joined Trump at campaign events and co-hosted a livestream session with him on X Spaces.
In another article on election night, Musk said: books“Let that sink in,” he said, referring to the moment in October 2022 when he entered Twitter’s San Francisco headquarters with a sink in his hands after purchasing the social media platform.
The billionaire posted a digitally edited photo of the moment superimposed on a photo of the Oval Office.
Musk’s followers responded in agreement, with one saying: “Elon Musk didn’t pay $44 billion to buy Twitter. He paid that much to change America’s history. It all makes sense now. X created new history today.”
Another X user added: “You need to do this for real on January 21st.”
“You are the media now,” the Tesla CEO wrote, based on his account of what he called “legacy media interference in elections.” He previously claimed on
In one of his recent posts, in which he made a direct reference to Trump, Musk said: “The American people have given @realDonaldTrump a crystal clear mandate for change tonight.”

What did Trump say about Musk?
In a speech from his Mar-a-Lago resort, Trump praised the SpaceX CEO, saying: “Let me tell you, we have a new star. A star is born: Elon.”
“He’s a great guy,” Trump continued, adding of SpaceX’s recent launch, “You know, he sent the rocket up two weeks ago, and I saw that rocket.”
“I called Elon and said, ‘Elon, is that you?’ He said, ‘Yes it was.’ I said, ‘Who can do it?’ No, can China do it? No, can the United States do it? No one can.” Does it? The spacecraft’s rocket booster has been reset to the launch position and held by mechanical arms.
“I said, ‘This is why I love you, Elon. That’s great,'” Trump added.
“He saved a lot of lives. He saved a lot of lives. He’s a character. He’s a special guy. He’s absolutely genius. We have to do this,” Trump said, describing the Starlink satellite system deployed in North Carolina after Hurricane Helen. Protecting our geniuses We don’t have many of them, we have to protect our super geniuses.
