The popular luxury and electric carmaker Lotus kickstarted the business in India last year in November, and has launched the groundbreaking e-SUV Eletre. It was introduced at the starting price of Rs 2.55 crore (ex-showroom), which now has been owned by a Hyderbad woman. She became the first proud owner of the electric giant SUV in the country.
The photos of the same also have been shared by a page named Car Carzy India on Instagram, mentioning the owner who ditched the company’s premium yellow colour, and chose the dark red shade.

While sharing the photo, the handle also included a caption saying, “Presenting India’s first Lotus Eletre R. Finished in a shade of Natron Red, this EV makes a whopping 905bhp and goes from 0-100 in just 2.7s. Congratulations to @harshikarao on your new ride and Congrats to @adsrulz and @krishna_vungarala on delivering the first new Lotus in India.”
What’s Special in Lotus Eletre?
Launched last year in November, the British car manufacturer offered the vehicle in three variants. The list includes Eletre, Eletre S, and Eletre R. Talking about the exterior and design pattern, the front profile seems inspired by the Ferrari as it shares a similar design headlight setup.
It comes with a massive size bonnet, featuring the company logo at the front. It also gets arrow-shaped Day Running Lights (DRLs), an appealing LED headlight unit, paired with a heavy skid plat at a lower profile. It also flaunts an active grille and large air dams at the front.
When it comes to the side profile, the vehicle looks treat to the eyes from every corner, clearly showcasing a great efforts by the company. It comes with heavy cladding, which is complemented by the 22-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels. Moving inside, the e-SUV is filled with tons of advanced features, which keep every drive full of comfort and ease.
Power and Battery Setup
Under the hood, Lotus Eletre comes with a 112kWh battery pack as standard, paired with a dual-motor setup, which provides the car a max power of 600 bhp and 710 Nm of peak torque. It has been claimed by the company that the four-wheeler is capable of providing a maximum range up to 600 km on a full top-up. Lotus also informed that the Eletre R has secured the title of the world’s fastest production e-SUV with a top speed of 258kph.
