The company also revealed that Indeed, Whole Foods Market, Universal McCann and PMG were its first brand partners, and users can expect to see ads from these companies in the coming days. Although Perplexity plans to begin its ad testing this week, it will only be released to users in the United States.
Perplexity says the move to serving ads will allow it to generate revenue and share it with its publisher partners. Perplexity pays partner publishing companies to use their articles and data to generate answers to queries.
