It has been reported by the PTI that extra security measures have been taken for rail tracks, tunnels, bridges, and other installations.

Republic Day is just around the corner, and the railway authorities in Jammu have been put on high alert for January 26. In a move to provide seamless and smooth transportation, it has been reported that special arrangements have been made, where police were directed to keep an extra eye on the busy locations and spots.

A meeting regarding the same also has been chaired, where top officials emphasized round-the-clock patrolling, jointly by officials of the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF).

Jammu Railway Security on R-Day

It has been reported by the PTI that extra security measures have been taken for rail tracks, tunnels, bridges, and other installations. Police personnel will keep a close check on the leading spots, ensuring a tight security scenario on the forthcoming Republic Day.

Here’s What Official Says

PTI also quoted an official, where he says “All the officers were asked to remain alert to avoid any untoward incident given the Republic Day function on January 26.”

In addition, it also has been informed that the maximum use of security equipment at railway stations, putting visitors to pass through extensive checking. All these steps are being taken to avoid any kind of obstruction, violence, or terrorism on the day.

Delhi Metro Security Beefed Up

Meanwhile, the security arrangements at metro stations in Delhi metro also have been beefed up. To provide an easy and smooth travel experience on January 26, more than 8,000 police personnel have already been deployed in the national capital.

Police said they are keeping a close check on the busy locations stations and spots from the CCTV control room.
