With its cutting-edge design, advanced technology, and unparalleled luxury, the Rolls-Royce Spectre marks a milestone in India’s electric car market.
Rolls Royce has launched its first-ever all-electric vehicle, the Spectre, in India.
Priced at Rs 7.5 crore ex-showroom (before options), the Spectre claims the title of the most expensive four-wheeled electric vehicle for private buyers in the country.
Alongside the pricing announcement, Rolls-Royce has disclosed the battery details and official range for its debut electric vehicle, and bookings are now open.
Rolls Royce Spectre: Battery & Charing Options
Powering the Spectre is a 102kWh battery pack, offering a WLTP cycle range of 530km. Comparatively, the EQS and EQS AMG, equipped with a 107.4kWh battery, provide ranges of 857km and 580km, respectively, on a single charge. The Spectre’s battery can be charged from 10-80 percent using a 195kW charger in just 34 minutes, while a 50kW DC charger takes 95 minutes.
Rolls Royce Spectre: Engine Specification
Under the hood, the Spectre is equipped with two electric motors, generating a combined 585 bhp and 900 Nm. With these specs, the 2,890kg Spectre can accelerate from 0 to 100kph in just 4.5 seconds.
Built on Rolls-Royce’s all-aluminium spaceframe architecture called the “Architecture of Luxury,” the Spectre is designed for electrification from its roots in 2003. Furthermore, the vehicle, features a 30 percent increase in stiffness compared to previous models, along with active suspension and four-wheel steering.

In terms of design, the Spectre maintains the iconic Rolls-Royce silhouette, featuring a long bonnet, a clean profile, and a fastback tail. Inspired by modern yacht concepts, the vehicle’s design includes the widest-ever grille on a Rolls-Royce, designed for aerodynamic efficiency. With a drag coefficient of 0.25, the Spectre is touted as the most aerodynamic Rolls-Royce to date.
Rolls Royce Spectre: Features
The cabin of the Spectre retains the opulence of existing Rolls-Royce models. A notable addition is the starlight liner, now incorporated in the door pads, and customers can opt for wood paneling for the doors. The dashboard panel on the passenger side features over 5,500 star-like illuminations.
One notable feature is Rolls-Royce’s new software platform, ‘Spirit,’ serving as the digital interface with connected car technology. Departing from the BMW-derived infotainment software used previously, Spirit offers a range of customization options, allowing users to even change the color of the dials to match the interior.
