New Delhi: Prominent Indian Americans on Wednesday congratulated Donald Trump after his historic re-election as US President and assured to continue working with him in strengthening US-India relations.
Donald Trump earned a second term in the Oval Office after winning 295 of 538 Electoral College votes, improving on his 2020 performance in both red and blue states and capturing enough swing states to reach 270 Electoral College votes.

Trump ally Vivek Ramaswamy celebrated Trump’s victory, explaining that while many in the media had misjudged the 45th president, his resilience and self-confidence were key to his comeback.
“Trump is not a theorist or policy expert,” Ramaswamy said. “He is an American badass. They tried to exclude him, to imprison him, and even to kill him twice, but none of it worked. They underestimated him and, in turn, underestimated the American people.”
“It’s just like our nation in that way. We have always believed that it is our manifest destiny to be exceptional, to be the greatest nation on Earth, to show the world what humanity can achieve, even when other nations doubt us.” Ramaswamy said.

Nikki Haley, former South Carolina governor, also welcomed Trump’s re-election to the White House, and said that the American people came together for Trump’s strong victory.
“The American people have spoken,” Haley said on X. “Congratulations to President Trump on his strong victory. Now, it is time for the American people to come together, pray for our country, and begin a peaceful transition.”
“It starts with defeating Kamala Harris,” she added. “You can’t just talk about unity on the campaign trail, you have to show it regardless of the outcome.”
