The weather is still wet for some and will become drier tomorrow
Chief Meteorologist Jay Cardosi is talking about some rain tonight and early tomorrow followed by nicer weather
$100,000. Now your weather with Chief Meteorologist Jay Cardosi. Well, let’s talk about some rain because we got a pretty good drenching. At least in parts of the viewing area last night and earlier this morning here in the metro, nearly an inch of rain fell 96/100 to be exact. The airport’s standard was slightly above average during November. Now it is still well below this year’s average. About 3.25 inches or so. So more water would be great. We will get occasional chances of rain during the next five or seven days. As far as around the viewing area. Absolute rainfall is really heavy around the northwest and two-thirds of the viewing area. Even when you see some of that green just west to southwest of the metro, we’re talking about an inch and an inch and a half of rain. You move to the East and Southeast, and our remote communities in the Southeast are not enough. Less than a half inch, but there will be chances for additional showers, especially south of the metro. A little later tonight. What we’re dealing with now are pockets of spray. Nothing all that substantial, just a little sprinkling from time to time. But again, later tonight as more energy moves in from the southwest, we could see some scattered showers develop across the area. The absolute best chances are after midnight tonight until early tomorrow morning. Basically, the southeastern half of the viewing area is once again redeveloped for a few showers. Just something to keep in mind during your morning commute tomorrow. So here’s your detailed 12 hour forecast 67. Now in town, I think we’ll stay in the 60s roughly all evening. There could be a little bit of rain from time to time, and then a chance of scattered showers very late tonight and into early tomorrow morning, especially south of the I 64 corridor out there, right now we have overcast skies and still moderate temperatures out there. 67 degrees, humidity 90%. Northwest breeze here now at five miles per hour. There are a lot of clouds around the area on Wednesday. It was raining this morning. Now a little dry time mixed with a spray. But we still have this front just kind of snakes through the area. That’s why I expect at least another chance of scattered showers later tonight. So check back for future broadcasts. We are here now. A little drizzle after midnight tonight. There are scattered showers that develop, mainly in the southeastern half of the viewing area. Opportunities will continue to shine
